Inaugural lecture by Pilar Garcia Gomez

On Friday May 31, research fellow Pilar Garcia Gomez (Erasmus University Rotterdam) will publicly accept her appointment as Professor of Applied Economics, with a focus on Health and Labour, with an inaugural lecture entitled: 'Health and Socioeconomic Status An Intimate and Enduring Relationship.'

The ceremony will start promptly at 16:00 in the Aula of Erasmus University Rotterdam. The inaugural lecture can also be followed via a livestream.

Pilar Garcia Gomez is Professor of Applied Economics with focus on Health and Labour at Erasmus School of Economics. Her main research interests are in the area of health and employment, with a focus on the impact of policies like disability insurance and other labour market policies on the health and labour market outcomes of those affected and their families, as well as the impact of events early in life, like parental job loss, on children health and health and employment later in life.
